VW Group's premium brand Audi aims to grown sales by around 100,000 units a year for each of the next 10 years
Audi is changing its plans and becoming even more ambitious, aiming for 2 million unit sales per year by the end of the decade.
As part of the VW Group's strategic plan to reach 10 million unit sales by 2018 (a number which includes all of its brands), Audi apparently has a new strategy paper which details the new 2 million sales objective for 2020. Audi CEO Rupert Stadler will be present the strategy paper to employees next week.
Audi sold 1.1 million vehicles in 2010 and had a previous target of reaching 1.5 million units per year by 2015, which they are likely still trying to achieve. But this new plan moves well beyond that. It is very ambitious of Audi to believe that it can consistently grown sales by around 100,000 units a year for each of the next 10 years.
