2012 BMW M5 (F10) Nürburgring Nordschleife time - unofficial

As the most treacherous and demanding racing circuit in the world, the Nürburgring Nordschleife is used as the benchmark for any self respecting performance orientated production car. So, it's with great anticipation that enthusiasts want to see how the all-new BMW M5 (F10) measures up to its competitors.
Although unconfirmed, according to fastestlaps.com the 2012 BMW M5 (F10) clocked a time of 7:55 giving it 70th place as the fastest production vehicle at the Nordschleife. With a BMW test driver listed as behind the wheel, this comes in at less than a second slower than the Ferrari F430 and faster than the Porsche 996 Turbo. More importantly, it crushed the previous 8:13 set by the previous generation M5 (E60).
