American designer Beau Reid fashions an electric go-kart made of carbon fiber
This is the GK2G (Go-Kart to Go) from American designer Beau Reid of Beau Designs.
The fold-able kart weighs just 65 pounds (30 kg) thanks to its carbon fiber construction which also contributes to the kart's sleek, high-tech, performance-sensibility-conveying design.
And the kart is also an electric-racer and runs on a lightweight lithium-ion battery pack. Top speed is 60 mph (96 km/h).
About that foldable ability - yes, the kart can be boxed-down to a size of 30 x 30 x 15 (inches) / 76 cm x 76 cm x 38 cm).
Forget about expensive trailers, pop that into your trunk and head to the track.
Hey, where can we buy this?
Sadly, it's just a design study.
