Would likely produce 465 hp (347 kW / 471 PS)
According to a recent report, the upcoming Maserati SUV will feature a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine from the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
Top Gear says the crossover will adopt the HEMI as part of a cost cutting move to make the model more profitable. While this seems plausible, Sergio Marchionnne has previously stated the SUV would have a Ferrari-sourced engine.
Regardless, the British magazine says we can also expect a 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 241 PS (177 kW / 237 hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.
The Maserati SUV is slated to be launched sometime next year, so stay tuned for official details.
