TG.com reader snaps a Really Big Van as shooting for next Batman film begins…
Good news! Filming for the next Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, has officially begun. And as you can see from this picture, some fighting will occur.
A plucky TopGear.commer snapped a Gotham City SWAT van on the back of a trailer on St John's street in Farringdon, where last week Christopher Nolan began constructing his third (and likely final) instalment in his Bat series.
Adenoidal fans of useless but quite interesting trivia will recall this street was used in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight where the Farmiloe building featured in various guises.
Why do we reckon fighting will happen? Well, the Dark Knight himself was absent from the scene, but judging by the smackdown he laid on Gotham's SWAT in The Dark Knight, expect lots of masked, rubber-clad fisticuffs when it hits cinemas next July.
Thanks to Neehar for the pic
