Could be launched as soon as 2012
Citing a "well placed" source, Car is reporting that BMW could launch an X3 M as early as 2012.
The magazine says that the high-performance model will likely adopt a tri-turbocharged 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine that develops 449 hp (335 kW / 455 PS).
We're taking this with a healthy dose of skepticism, but BMW is reportedly weighing four different engines for the next-generation M3 and that mill will likely be shared with the X3 M.
