A legend reborn
Eagle has announced plans to introduce the E-Type Lightweight Speedster at the Salon Privé in London.
Inspired by the legendary Jaguar model, the E-Type LS is powered by a 4.7-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 340 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque. It is paired to five-speed manual transmission that enables the 1008 kg (2,222 lb) roadster to accelerate from 0-60 mph in "under five seconds" and hit a top speed in excess of 160 mph (258 km/h). While the figures don't seem overly impressive, at first glance, Eagle touts the fact that the car has a "power-to-weight ratio matching that of the very latest Porsche 911 Turbo."
No word on pricing, but expect more information to be released in June.
