SM7 may make it to Europe as a new Renault flagship
Shortly after its introduction as a concept model at the at the Seoul Motor Show, the first official images of the production Renault-Samsung SM7 have been released.
Looking like a toned-down version of the concept car, the SM7 is reportedly built on the D platform which also underpins the Nissan Maxima / Nissan Teana (JDM). Engine options will likely include a 2.5-liter V6 with 182 hp (136 kW / 185 PS) and 232 Nm (171 lb-ft) of torque as well as a 3.5-liter V6 that develops 251 hp (187 kW / 254 PS) and 335 Nm (247 lb-ft) of torque.
The Korean-market SM7 may also just make it to Europe too as a new flagship Renault model. The French automaker is said to be considering adding the SM7 to its lineup under the possible name Safrane.
