Ditches Ferrari design for Lamborghini-esque styling
Following heavy criticism that the Raptor GT was a photoshopped Ferrari 599XX, Rotary Supers Cars (RSC) has announced plans to rename and restyle their upcoming supercar.
Redubbed the Predator GT, the car adopts Lamborghini-esque styling that should placate concerns that the original Raptor renderings were based on photos lifted from the Kennol.com website (thanks to WCF reader vincent for pointing that out).
Despite the changes, the Predator is still slated to use a fanciful four-rotor Wankel engine - based on the Mazda 13B MSP - that develops up to 1,200 PS (883 kW / 1184 hp). It will be connected to an eight-speed sequential transmission, that enables 1,100 kg (2,425 lb) supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than three seconds.
No word on when the vehicle will be launched, but the company had planned to show a Raptor GT prototype in late 2010. That obviously didn't happen, so we have doubts that the original 2012 launch date will stick.
