Images show the production DS5's interior will have a top-notch premium finish
Citroën debuted the new DS5 at the Shanghai motor show back in April but this set of leaked photos provide more shots of the production model's interior.
A luxurious application it is, and we get to see that wrist-watch/bracelet stitching on the leather seats which will be one of the signature marks of this DS5. There's also a hefty center console with large knobs that gives the DS5 a sense of premium quality. Citroën surely believes this model will be competitive with other premium brand offerings on styling and interior finish alone.
The DS5 is based on the Peugeot 3008/5008 platform and the model featured in Shanghai was fitted with PSA Group's HYbrid4 technology which couples a 163 PS (120 kW) 2.0 liter diesel engine to a 37 PS (27 kW) electric motor powering the rear axle. The automaker has already begun production on models with the HYbrid4 tech so we can expect to see it in the DS5 when it makes its market launch later this year.
